It is basic: simple graphics, no characters making smart alec comments or any such enhancement. It plays reasonably well. It is sort of like playing against your friends after they have had a beer or two. Generally it plays OK but occasionally makes a strange play. For the price it is a great game. I have paid WAY more (pre APP store days) for a Hearts game that looked fancier but did not play any better.

Very poor quality. Cant customize cards, name players or review play. Play selection of computer makes no sense. Heart break not required. DONT BUY THIS VERSION!

It does not clear the cards, when restart the game.

The Hearts i had on the Yosemite OS was so superior! this game has only adequate visuals and no ‘history’ etc. Bah Humbug!

This is a very poorly programed app. The programer does not seem to really know how to play the game. There is no method to make changes to the game. Don’t wast your $$$

The program does not always add up the score correctly and may declare the wrong player as a winner. I have a screen shot of the event.

Unfortunately the developer of this game does not know how to play hearts! Dont waste your money if you love hearts and know how to play.

You cannot change the sizing of the game and the card sit to close to the bottom of the screen was not able to play the game. Cannot adjust size of board in game.

I dont understand how this hearts is played. When some else leads and plays a card like a spade and I play a heart it gives the book to me. Also you cant change the settings to anything else.I like to play if you win the jack of diamonds you get -10 points. Very disappointed with this.

Same problem as "Disappointed." Why should the trick go to the hearts player when hearts are not led. Bummer. Doesnt happen to any of the other players when they play a heart on a spade or club.

I love hearts and have played for over 50 years. This game is terrible !! There are not enough "preference" choices, and it does not follow protocol. I agree with Dissapponted, it is bogus !

Someone should inform the developer how to play. No instuctions no fun. Should be removed from apps list.

Nice game board but game goes by so fast you cant keep a count of what cards have played. You need a speed control button. Also the last couple of plays the game plays your cards automatically and it does it so fast you cant tell what was played. NOT a good system...this needs to be changed with the speed control. But is a fun game

This version is better than the other. The problem that persists is that the game is still too easy. I can beat the computer 90% of the time even on the hardest level. In other words, the program writer doesnt know how to play the game. Ive been playing Hearts for a number of decades and I love the game. Its a shame no one can write a decent program for Hearts.

Get this game if you DONT LIKE TO WIN… EVER. Ive played many games and not made a single mistake, and NEVER won a game. Sometimes youll be doing good and then towards the end, without being able to do ANYTHING about it, youll get the queen of spades multiple times and/or someone shoots the moon and you lose. Its VERY FRUSTRATING!! Its like this guy designed it so you cant win on "good" or "best" hardness setting.

I have the macbook pro 13 inch, and when I open the application the window is too big for my computer screen. I cannot make the screen smaller. I can still play, but it would be nice if there was an update that allowed for the window to be made smaller :)

Terrible version. When one of the “computer” opponents is trying to shoot the moon the other two ”computer” opponents play their highest heatrs cards first thus allowing the “computer” player to succeeed in shooting the moon. For example if the “computer” opponent who is trying to shoot the moon plays the ace of hearts the other two play their highest heart (oftentimes the king or queen) instead of a lower heart. Has happened time and time again. NOT worth the money. and NOT written by someone who is an expert of the game.

Ive played Heartsfor a long time. Alot of what I have read leads me to believe that many of the people who have writen reveiwsi simply do not knw how the game is suppused to be played. It plays as easy as a game of Hearts can be played. Nothing confusing, HOWEVER, the game set-up does not present a runnng total of each player’s total points. and how is the that maximun score determind for maximum total of points until the game is over. Some instructions must have been never included in the game format to povide that instrucrion. It would help a great bit if instructions were included in a “Help” frame so the people who are unfamiliar with the game can enjoy it.

Play is fast and graphics are sharp. Very easy to pick your cards. But the logic needs serious updates. as it is easy as crap to shoot the moon - none of the other players bother to pass a low heart, and none try to stop a moon shot. If you lead the ace of hearts the dipsticks follow with the king and queen. Nobody will eat the queen to stop a moon shot. So, it you somehow get “given” the queen of spades, just start leading your highest cards, and a moon shot is possible. Should also have the option to play just three players, each gets 17 cards, and the two of diamonds is held out. I would rate this product as is a rating of three stars. L. Looger

Technically, this is a good game of hearts. But aesthetically, it is boring, does not show scores in a logical fashion, does not keep any kind of statistics. Bottom line, not worth the time to play.
